A  CM  in  court

Public Prosecutor (PP) : ‘ Is it not true that  as a CM  you were so busy  amassing wealth for yourself that you did not  bother to  do anything worthwhile to meet even the basic needs of the people ?’

CM: ‘I strongly deny such baseless and wild allegations’.

PP:  ‘For instance you did not do anything to provide adequate medical facilities to the people who had elected you with the fond hope that their expectations would be met.’

CM: ‘Everyone knows that under my directions the facilities in many government hospitals were considerably upgraded’

PP: ‘But the qualifications of the doctors in government hospitals are barely adequate’.

CM: Don’t make a public display of your ignorance!   Don’t you know that there are many highly qualified and efficient doctors in most of the government hospitals all over the state?

PP: Remember that you are making these statements under oath. Listen to me carefully. Are you telling the court that the health of the people of the state is safe in the hands of these so called eminent government hospital doctors?’

CM: Of course I have absolutely no hesitation in swearing that the medical wellbeing of the people of my state is very much safe in the hands of the government doctors’.

PP to Judge: ‘Your honour, as the accused is the elected leader of the people of the state, and in as much as this leader swears by the efficiency of the doctors in the government hospitals, any medical examination or treatment of the accused if at all to be done, should be done only by government doctors and by no one else.’
